About Exemplar Health Care
Laurel Place is part of Exemplar Health Care, one of the country’s leading nursing care providers.
When open, Laurel Place will provide nursing care for adults living with complex needs arising from brain injuries, dementia, mental health conditions, neuro-disabilities and physical disabilities.
The home will feature 32 en-suite bedrooms, across three units, and six apartments.
Laurel Place will offer a caring environment where people receive the support they need, close to their loved ones.

About the role
This is a highly skilled nursing role where you’ll be accountable and responsible for supporting people’s holistic needs. It requires a range of clinical and nursing skills.
You’ll provide the highest standards of nursing care for adults living with complex care and health needs. Our care focuses on maximising independence and building everyday living skills.
No two days will ever be the same, but your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
assessing, planning and providing person-centred nursing care for the people we support
the safe administration of medication
promoting health and wellbeing
being the Nurse in Charge of a small unit whilst on shift
managing situations when people display behaviours of concern
promoting choice, dignity, independence and respect.

About you

To apply for this role, you must have a first-level nursing registration with a valid Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) PIN. We’re looking for Registered Nurses, from all backgrounds (Adult, Mental Health and Learning Disability Nurses).

Laurel Place is on the corner of Greenfields Road, Watling Road and Gudmunsen Avenue.
There's street parking available on Watling Road and Gudmunsen Avenue.
Please note, Laurel Place won't be available to find on Google or Apple Maps until the home is registered with CQC.
Public transport to Laurel Place
The home is a short walk from several bus stops.
Club - Watling Road bus stop, which is accessed by buses 1 Sapphire, 6 Sapphire, 9, 56, 85 and X21 X-lines.
Hospital bus stop, which is accessed by bus 9.
There's also a train station in the local area.
Bishop Auckland - 1.7 miles away (30 minute walk).
