Matthew Blain

Matthew Blain is HR Director at Exemplar Health Care. He oversees the HR function which is responsible for recruitment, selection, talent management, organisational development, health and wellbeing.

He oversees the HR Business Partner Team, Employee Relations Team, Recruitment Team and Learning and Development Team, including the Exemplar Academy.

Matthew has over twenty years’ experience working in HR across a range of private and public sector organisations.

He’s a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and a Doctor of Business Administration.

Before joining us in 2022, Matthew held senior HR leadership roles with AstraZeneca, Compass Group, Walgreens Boots Alliance, and University College London.

He has also sat on the advisory board for Nottingham Business School and being a RemCo member for Loughborough College.

Matthew is passionate about people and providing environments, opportunities and cultures where people can be their authentic self.
